We believe that irrigation design should be unique to each individual job.

Since 1998 we have been using GPS plotting to develop accurate plans of proposed irrigation systems, this plan then provides the foundation of the irrigation design. With accurate measurements the design can be developed according to irrigation requirements and available water supply. Using a CAD drawing program and pipe friction loss programs each section of the proposed irrigation system begins to take shape.
At any stage various designs can be assessed to find the most efficient or cost effective alternative.

Once a design is finalised, a materials list is compiled using our retail sales stock control program and this becomes the basis for a quotation. All irrigation designs are based on what we believe to be the best products for the application, in other words, our systems will contain equipment from various suppliers, those we consider most suited to the job required.

The systems we design can be as simple as a manually controlled sprinkler system working off a reticulated supply, right up to a remote Web based fully automated system with weather and soil moisture monitoring via radio control operating off a variable speed pump set and irrigating as much as one thousand acres.

We have designed systems for commercial landscape, commercial turf, bowling green, golf course, dust suppression, garden sprinkler, shade house, center pivot, boom spray, tropical fruit, sugar cane and paw paw. Our area of special expertise is in banana irrigation where we have even developed our own sprinkler specifically designed to meet the requirements for efficient water delivery without wasteful run off.

All systems designed and supplied by The Water Shed come with a to-scale laminated plan and a comprehensive materials list.

We also provide onsite advice during installation and commissioning, or if required, full installation can be provided.
